The week before, we came off of our first Professor kill and went straight for her after. Spent some time in there and managed to get several 4-5% wipes. We marched in there with a chip on our shoulder thursday morning and gave her a lil of our "full moon fever". I guess vampires don't like the late night after all...bye bye Queen. We had been working on ALgalon for a little over a month. With only an hour to attempt him, he isn't the easiest boss to master in a short time. With 2 groups successfully pwning him every week in 10 mans, it was only a matter of time before we dropped him on 25 man and claimed our Astral Walker title. He fell to Nepentheum last night to completely our full clear of Ulduar on both 10 & 25 man pre patch 3.3. Great job everyone for sticking it out. Next up is to squash a bug..he'll be dead VERY VERY soon!
<div style="width:550px; text-align: center;"><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" src="http://w188.photobucket.com/pbwidget.swf?pbwurl=http://w188.photobucket.com/albums/z315/MisterBruss/10c96ab2.pbw" height="480" width="550"><a href="http://photobucket.com/slideshows" target="_blank"><img src="http://pic.photobucket.com/slideshows/btn.gif" style="float:left;border-width: 0;" ></a><a href="http://s188.photobucket.com/albums/z315/MisterBruss/?action=view&current=10c96ab2.pbw" target="_blank"><img src="http://pic.photobucket.com/slideshows/btn_viewallimages.gif" style="float:left;border-width: 0;" ></a></div>

Soulibruss Mon, 07 Dec 2009 23:28:45 -0000 http://www.nepentheum.com/news/show/345864 http://www.nepentheum.com/news/show/345864 Nepthentheum is ON FIRE!!!
Posted 10/10/2009 11:47 AM by Soulibruss.

Two 10 man GOTUR = fast HM progression. After about 12 hours, Nepentheum put the fires out and conquered their last remaining HM to unlock Algalon. To start off our week, we took out Firefighter, then marched into Heroic ToC and took out the first 2 bosses on hard mode the very next night. Beasts went down after some last minute strat adjustments and Lord Jaraxxus fell after maybe 3 attempts. After 2 attempts on Faction Champs, we almost had it down. If it were not the very end of the night, when most of us were exhausted, we would've taken them down as well. I'm sure we'll march in there Mon morn and take them down and start chipping away at Twin Valks. We also have our first 25 man night of NEPENTHEUM VS ALGALON that night. With one remaining HM(Yogg +1) til we get our 25 man GOTUR, we'll be busy over the next couple weeks. GREAT WORK everyone for being prepared, rocking their game faces and sharing the same persistance throughout the guild.

<img width="550" src="http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z315/MisterBruss/Firefighter25Nepentheumcopy.jpg">

Soulibruss Sat, 10 Oct 2009 16:47:36 -0000 http://www.nepentheum.com/news/show/324206 http://www.nepentheum.com/news/show/324206 Nepentheum gets 310 Mounts!!
Posted 09/06/2009 12:00 PM by Soulibruss.

These past couple weeks have been really crazy for us. We are definitely on a roll. I have been busy and/or too lazy to post. So this is a conglomeration of our past few weeks of efforts.

We weren't content with just Orb-ituary and Heartbreaker. Oh no, we weren't content with being only 2/9 Hard Modes in 25 man Ulduar. To be satisfied with a rank over top 5 on the server..OH HELL NAW!

Last week, we went and nailed the Iron Council to a cross. Steelbreaker fell to powers of Nepentheum. This week, we went and took out Hodir HM rather easily to get his secret stash. With ToC clear on both 10/25 mans..we went in last night and took care of some unfinished business in Uld10. We finally got our Rusted Proto Drakes. Yogg +1 down on our 2nd attempt of the night!! Not bad considering we only spent maybe 2 hours total on that fight. Gratz to everyone who got their mounts. I know there are many who still need a few hard modes here and there. Believe me, we will get everyone we can those drakes.

Stay tuned...We still got HM Thorim/Vez left this week. We nearly had Vez last week, but came up short on caster dps. HM Thorim was down to 30% on Friday morning. I'm very confident we'll get both monday morning. Incoming rank of server 2nd. Keep up the good work guys and i'm proud of everyone in this guild and fucking thrilled to be playing with you guys.
<img src=http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z315/MisterBruss/ProtoDrakes.jpg width= 550>

Soulibruss Sun, 06 Sep 2009 17:00:23 -0000 http://www.nepentheum.com/news/show/310180 http://www.nepentheum.com/news/show/310180 Trial of the Crusader Roflstomped!
Posted 09/06/2009 11:52 AM by Soulibruss.

Week by week we brought our best to face their very worst. The lich king amidst his deadliest of tests. The feeble alliance with their mightiest warriors. All perished to the might of Nepentheum. This week was no different. Anub'arak, the final boss of the new dungeon quickly fell to the fury of Nepentheum. Literally 2 shotted, we tea bagged his punk ass and collected our loot. Another day in the life of us late nighters. Great job to everyone on being prepared and bringing their A-game!
<img src=http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z315/MisterBruss/ToCClearcopy.jpg width=550>

Soulibruss Sun, 06 Sep 2009 16:52:24 -0000 http://www.nepentheum.com/news/show/310179 http://www.nepentheum.com/news/show/310179 Val'anyr in the Guild!!
Posted 09/06/2009 11:48 AM by Soulibruss.

Twas a long time in the making. Collecting 30 shards wasn't an easy task, especially considering the shitty drop rate luck Nepentheum has on items it really needs. After collecting the 30 fragments needed, we marched into Yogg's room prepared to claim our Legendary mace! Didn't take too long. Shortly into the night, we finally got the Yogg -1 Keeper Achievement as well as the overpowered mace along with it. Gratz to Souli on his mace(lol) and everyone for their work.

Soulibruss Sun, 06 Sep 2009 16:48:25 -0000 http://www.nepentheum.com/news/show/310178 http://www.nepentheum.com/news/show/310178 Old God ain't shit!!
Posted 07/16/2009 10:21 PM by Soulibruss.

After a few nights of wipes, we finally managed to kill the dreaded old god last monday morning. Once we finally recruited enough competent ppl to fill the raid, it was fairly easy from there. We essentially raped the portal phase and made the top team work less. Once we got into phase 3, it was easy mode. Great job everyone on the persistence and hard work involved with getting this guy. Inc hard modes soon! The new PTR is set to be open for testing in the near future.

"There comes a time in all shaman’s lives when they must learn to harness the power of nature and wield powerful totems. As they grow in power, so do the opportunities to use these instruments of healing, protection, and destruction. In the upcoming content patch, Call of the Crusade, the shaman will be able to quickly place totems of each element, aiding them in managing these powerful focuses of nature.

We wanted to provide some insight regarding the upcoming shaman-specific interface addition, the Totem Bar. Shaman will be able to utilize this new bar to manage their fire, earth, water, and air totems in a more accessible and convenient way. This bar will appear on the left-hand side above the standard toolbar, similar to warrior stances or druid forms. The bar contains space for four totems of the player’s choice, one of each element. Clicking the respective button will drop that totem. To the right of the four totems is a button for Totemic Call, which we have renamed Call of Earth. To the left of the four totems is a new ability named Call of Fire which will drop all four totems on the bar at once. The mana cost is the same as if the shaman dropped all four of the totems one at a time. However, it takes but a single global cooldown.

Questing shaman will be able to quickly move their totems of choice forward, while a shaman in an instance, Arena, or Battleground will be able to replace their totems if they have to move or if the totems are destroyed.

Shamans will also be able to customize their bar to set Call of Fire to drop less than four totems if they choose. Access to this functionality is made available at the same level as Call of Earth (currently level 30.) At higher levels, Shaman will gain two additional spells, Call of Air and Call of Water. These function exactly the same as Call of Fire, essentially giving the shaman three different sets of totems that can be placed at once. New key bindings will also be made available for all of these slots.

As with all new content under testing, we want to caution players that, as a new part of the interface, there may be additional changes during the period of the PTR until the release of the Call of the Crusade content patch. We look forward to constructive feedback once it is available for testing."

Here is another one from GC about some of the other Shaman changes:
"We have changed Healing Way to work better with HW and we have changed Improved Water Shield to also work with CH. We also dropped the cooldown of NS to 2 min so that you can HW more often. We'll try to make a post of all of the Resto changes soon.
... Improved Water Shield procs will not consume Water Shield charges. The tooltip says something like "as if you had consumed an orb."

Soulibruss Wed, 17 Jun 2009 20:12:54 -0000 http://www.nepentheum.com/news/show/277227 http://www.nepentheum.com/news/show/277227 Goodbye Trollbane..Hello Silvermoon!
Posted 05/24/2009 06:45 AM by Soulibruss.

It was time for a change. Nepentheum had pretty much exhausted the players available at our raid times. It wasn't an easy feat to recruit late night players on a EST server where 95% of the population raided between the hours of 7-11pm. We managed ok, but it getting harder and harder with summer closing in. As 99% of our members were server xfers anyways, we found it would be better to raid on a server that had a higher player population and was also on a PST server. We chose Silvermoon because there are already 2 guilds that are pretty decent in progression that raid at our raid times. One of them is one boss ahead of us, the other is a few bosses below us. That would pretty much put us in the middle of progression on Silvermoon. With a higher probability to obtain players from the server that we actually raid on, I'm sure progression will go a bit more smoothly. Our entire core basicly is migrating to the server. We will keep the same name and exact same setup as far as structure is concerned. I know we are all excited to take our game to the next level on a brand new server. See u all over there.
Soulibruss Sun, 24 May 2009 11:45:32 -0000 http://www.nepentheum.com/news/show/265716 http://www.nepentheum.com/news/show/265716 Deconstructed!
Posted 04/17/2009 08:42 AM by Soulibruss.

After a good night of wipes and working out the strats, Nepentheum went into the next night's raid fairly confident. Afterall, the previous night, we had gotten him down to around 20% or so. After a night of a lil R&D, we formulated a new strategy. Our first attempt of the evening got him down to 2 mil hp. After several more attempts and some raid adjustments, we managed to conquer his ass once and for all. This was a Hordeside first kill of Deconstructor. We also managed to snag 2 achievements with it. Nerf Gravity bombs, which only one other guild on the server managed so far. Along with that, we picked up Nerf Engineering, which is a Realm FIRST achievement for this boss. Great job everyone on working out the kinks and gratz to Jemi, Vanser and Tralium, who all got some new shinies. Afterwards, we managed to throw in a couple attempts on Razorscale and took a peek at the inside of Ulduar. We'll have more boss kills coming your way...

<center<img src="http://s.guildomatic.com/76735/host/17/17612f801a296187cc6fd8402ab2bcad.jpg" width="550" height="450">

I also managed to snag a vid of the last 30 or so secs of the fight.
